
ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION is a voluntary association of individuals created to realize and protect human and civil rights and freedoms, to satisfy the public, in particular: economic, social, cultural, educational, and other interests of its members and/or other persons.
The ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION in its activities are guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Civil Code of Ukraine, the Tax Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On Public Associations”, the Law of Ukraine “On State Registration of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Formations”, other current legislation of Ukraine and the Charter. ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION activities’ legal basis is also the regulatory documents and general decisions adopted by the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION within their statutory powers and are binding on all members.
ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION is a non-entrepreneurial society, the main purpose of which is not to make a profit. The Union is free in choosing the directions of its activities and acts on the principles of voluntariness, self-government, free choice of the territory of activity, equality before the law, lack of property interest of its members (participants), transparency, openness, and publicity.

The main goal of the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION is to assist in the implementation of the rights and social guarantees provided for by the legislation of Ukraine, the development of education and education, the study of history, the provision of psychological, social, legal, physical, moral, and material assistance, the protection of the rights and freedoms of the members of the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION, as on the territory of Ukraine and beyond.
To achieve its goal and fulfill its statutory tasks, the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION, in accordance with the procedure established by the current legislation, has the right to:
- Be a participant in civil law relations, acquire property and non-property rights in accordance with the law.
- To represent and defend their legitimate interests and the legitimate interests of their members or other persons in any government bodies, including courts, law enforcement agencies, local governments, enterprises, institutions, and organizations of all forms of ownership and subordination.
- Freely disseminate information about their activities, promote their goals.
- Ideologically and organizationally support other associations of citizens, assist in their creation and conduct of their activities.
- Publish scientific and methodological results of the activities of the ASSOCIATION OF GUIDES OF ODESA; carry out informational and explanatory work.
- Receive, in the manner prescribed by law, public information in the possession of subjects of power, other managers of public information.
- Participate in the organization and funding, as well as independently conduct conferences, seminars, competitions, lectures, round tables, consultations, creative events, tournaments, contests, and other events related to the statutory activities of the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION, with the involvement of representatives of the public, authorities and local government, experts from various areas of public life, incl. international.
- Receive assistance in the form of funds or property received free of charge in the form of membership fees, irrevocable financial assistance, donations, grants and independently decide on their use in accordance with the provisions of the Charter and the legislation of Ukraine.
- To carry out, in the manner prescribed by the current legislation, the necessary entrepreneurial activity directly or through the creation in the manner prescribed by the law of legal entities (societies, enterprises), if such activity corresponds to the goal (goals) of the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION and contributes to its achievement.
- Participate in the implementation of state regulatory policy in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
- Apply, in the manner prescribed by law, to state authorities, local self-government bodies, to their officials and officials with suggestions (comments), statements (petitions), complaints.
- Receive, in the manner prescribed by law, necessary for the implementation of their goals and objectives of public information held by the subjects of power, other managers of public information.
- Participate, in the manner prescribed by law, in the development of draft regulations issued by state authorities, local authorities and which relate to the scope of the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION and important issues of state and public life.
- Participate, in the manner prescribed by law, in the work of consultative, advisory, and other subsidiary bodies that are formed by state authorities, authorities of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, local self-government bodies to hold consultations with public associations and prepare recommendations on issues related to the scope of activities of the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION.
- Maintain direct international contacts with organizations of citizens of other countries, conclude relevant agreements and participate in international events on the activities of the ASSOCIATION OF GUIDES OF ODESSA, which do not contradict Ukraine’s international obligations.
- To establish mass media in order to achieve the statutory goals.
- Create and implement various projects, implement programs.
- On a voluntary basis, participate or establish public unions, etc., including international ones, conclude agreements on cooperation and mutual assistance.
- Receive on the terms of the lease or temporary free use of buildings, equipment, vehicles, and other property necessary for the implementation of the statutory tasks of the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION.
- Open accounts in national and foreign currencies in bank institutions.
- Establish awards to distinguish members of the ODESA GUIDE ASSOCIATION and its partners.

- Enjoy other rights provided for by the legislation of Ukraine.

• Creation of an information database and other information systems that contribute to the effectiveness of the members of the ASSOCIATION OF GUIDES OF ODESA; Organization of informational, advisory, and methodological assistance to members of the ASSOCIATION OF GUIDES OF ODESA;
• Representing the interests of guide-entrepreneurs and guides in state, public, commercial organizations, in self-government bodies and on public platforms;
• Interaction with enterprises of the tourism industry;
• Conducting conferences, methodological seminars, exhibitions, fairs, “round tables” that contribute to the development of the excursion business and the tourism industry;
• Organization of training of qualified specialists for excursion activities, organization of internships and the use of other forms of advanced training; preparation of recommendations for the preparation of technical documentation necessary for the development of an excursion, reviewing of methodological developments of excursions, preparation of guides-translators, organization of in-depth training in foreign languages for specialists in the field of tourism;
• Promotion of further expansion of the subject of excursions;
• Determination of research directions on the problems of excursion services;
• Assessment of the current state of tourist and excursion resources of the Odessa region;
• Participation in the creation of new and promotion of existing destinations in the Odessa region;
• Exchange of experience and discussion of common problems of excursion activities;
• Participation in the certification of guides and guides in accordance with the legislation;
• Development of new and systematization of existing tourist routes, their registration in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine;
• Organization of voluntary certification of members of the ASSOCIATION OF GUIDES OF ODESA in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine and accepted international and national standards in the activities of guides;
• Interaction with authorities and local self-governments on the organization of excursion activities in the Odessa region;
• Research, development of professional recommendations for excursion activities in the Odessa region;
• Creation and maintenance of information bases, Web sites, data processing, preparation of analytical reviews on the topic of the work of the ASSOCIATION OF GUIDES OF ODESA;
• Conducting examinations and consultations, providing expert services;
• Rendering assistance in the development of museums, factory tours and other types of excursions;
• Assistance in the development and strengthening of business cooperation between guide interpreters and tour guides with colleagues from other regions of Ukraine, as well as at the international level.
